Setting the Default Fill and Strok Style in Inkscape

By Forrest Smith - Drempd.com

For the longest time, I would just adjust the fill and stroke styles after drawing something with the pen tool, which certainly wasn’t ideal. Sometimes I couldn’t see the effect that I was going for, so I would change the styles right after drawing each shape. How moronic — especially since it\’s super easy to set:

Just double click on the pen tool (or shape), it will bring up style options for that tool — I found it easiest just to set the selection to the ‘last used style’ — so you’ll need to set the settings after drawing a first element, and then double click the tool icon to set all of the styles from thereafter.
