Growing Slowly
By Forrest Smith - Drempd.com
I was reading last night on Matt Haughley’s blog, on the advantages of growing slowly. When so much news is given to the huge payoffs that a small number of startups get, and the big news surrounding facebook, tumblr, twitter, etc.., it’s difficult to appreciate that these stories are extremely rare. What’s far more common I’m sure, are the hundreds and thousands of websites that slowly grow and produce enough revenue to pay their creator’s bills, or that remain pretty small, but large enough so they can have a small business and employ a few people. This is what I want to accomplish — I few good quality websites that provide real value to the users, and that can grow based on what I envision, not what some investor envisions.
