PrintNice
Throughout the week I come across numerous online articles that I would love to read. In the past, I would save these to my e-reader for weekend reading, but there is just something about paper. And so I needed to build myself a way to nicely format and print the articles that I routinely come across.
With my Print Nice functionality, I can just enter a URL for a page, and the web app will pull the article content, format it into multiple columns, and tidy up the font styles (at least most of the time. Since this is just a side project that I don’t get to spend too much time on, it seems to have a 10–20% failure rate. Hopefully at some point I’ll get that down).
I now can sit on the patio on pleasant weekend mornings with my cup of coffee and read through my nice stack of printed articles.
Updates
Added functionality for removing text that the visitor doesn’t want to be printed. Just click on text block to remove it. The text will appear faded. To undo, just click on the text block again.
Just some minor formatting and cleanup to the interface.
