Blog Adventure A Run and Sunset Dinner

A Run and Sunset Dinner

By Forrest Smith - Drempd.com

We left at 5:00.  We had originally planned on heading up to Mt. Laguna to do a run earlier that morning, but we were worried that it would be too warm for the little man in his stroller, so we decided to push the run back to the evening.  To make the most of the later start, I decided to put together a few dinner items, so hopefully we could eat a light picnic-dinner and catch the sunset while we ate high above the desert.  The plan worked out great.  We runked (ran+walk when necessary) for about five miles, and then made it over to the desert overlook just before sunset.  We just cleared out the back of our car, which made the perfect dining area.

Great running

Getting ready for dinner

It was a simple dinner, brussel sprouts with bacon, bread and goat cheese, broccoli salad, grapes, and a little bit of wine.
