Blog Adventure Back to Horsethief

Back to Horsethief

By Forrest Smith - Drempd.com

I always expected to return to Horsethief road sooner. We had a good ride out this road over a year ago, and I meant to get out there again and push a little further relatively soon after our first trip.  Unfortunately, I just haven’t made it back. It’s a great road for hauling a kid trailer — the road is in pretty good shape, has gravel as it’s surface (as opposed to just dirt, which can get pretty eroded and rough), and it’s actually closed to vehicles. Today we made it back!  We rode out about four miles before we decided to turn around — clouds were building, and it looked like it could begin raining at any moment. It was a great ride though, even if a little shorter than it could have been. I’ll look forward to heading back to Horsethief and exploring further out.
