Automatically Scanning a Website for Fatal Errors
By Forrest Smith - Drempd.com
A fatal error on a website can be a nasty thing. Depending on where it occurs, the page might display incorrectly, leave sections unloaded, or worst of all, just not load the page at all.
The latest automatic check added to Opti, is to verify that no pages have fatal errors. As it crawls the target website, it will check that each page has an ending “html” tag. Because this tag belongs at the very end of the page, its absence often indicates that something went wrong during rendering.
