Blog Website Design Website as a To Do List

Website as a To Do List

By Forrest Smith - Drempd.com

I’ve been working on building out the “features” section on the Zindash website, which has been needed for quite some time. There is a lot of functionality within the app which wasn’t being shown to potential users, and it’s been a priority item to begin addressing this shortcoming.

The page builds are going well, but I have found myself wanting to add screenshots and elements that look good on these pages, which currently can seem a little dry. There are also some sections that I would like to fill out with more content, or sections that I think could have some interesting design elements if more of the content spoke to implementing them.

It seems like perhaps for the next round of updates on the Zindash app, I’ll focus on some of these missing opportunities, and build out the features and updates to support the page builds on the website. Most of these things are already on the roadmap, but it makes sense to bump them up higher on the list to help support the website build.

It’s an interesting notion in general: letting the needs of the website drive the design of the app. It’s likely not a strategy that I would employ over the long term, but I think certainly using the website as the roadmap for where the product should head is a good strategy to use, at least intermittently.
