Note Indexes

I recently added indexes to notes, and I think this may be one of the best updates to Zindash that I’ve made in quite some time.

For each note, as headings are added, a list will be generated of all of those heading tags. Clicking on the “Show Index” icon, will display that index, which gives a nice overview of everything in the note. Clicking on any of the titles in the index will scroll the note to that section.

I’ve been using this to keep more organized notes for specific projects. Originally, each section would have probably just been its own note and stored with a common tag, but I like that I can keep everything in one note. It seems easier to add a thought quickly, and visually, everything can stay together in one place, so if I have other tiles visible (say with a to do list or two), everything is visible and accessible.

It’s currently still a bit buggy, but I’m working on getting some of the kinks worked out and hopefully pushing it out with the next release.
