To Do List Item Highlighting
I added the ability to highlight list items with a color, either a light green, blue, yellow, or magenta, as well as the normal white. It was a small update, but I’ve found it quite helpful over the past couple of weeks and I’m actually using it more than I originally thought I would.
I usually have lots of lists, but the main ones are an overall list which has everything I need to do, and then a smaller list just for the current week. I started to use my weekly list just for small tasks that I need to get done, and because I can now highlight items on the larger list, I’m just running through that a few times a week, highlighting the items that are the most important, and using that to supplement my weekly list.

I’m still playing with the process a little — I’ve also started highlighting things that are of secondary importance in a different color, perhaps items for next week or once I get through the higher priority things. I’ve been using green for current items, yellow for things for later, and just anything I’m not currently worried about as the default white.
The coloring is pretty nice. Over the years, I’ve found that I just like to have most of the tasks I need to get done on one list, but the highlighting is definitely helpful to draw attention to what’s currently important.
